Kamis, 23 November 2023, Yosi Wulandari M. Pd. dan Sularso S.Sn.,M.Sn, dua tim MAJU BPI menjadi narasumber dalam sebuah workshop yang bertujuan meningkatkan kualitas paper jurnal melalui tata cara layouting yang baik. Workshop ini akan diadakan di Kampus 2 Unit B Univeristas Ahmad Dahlan, Ruang Meeting Room. Kegiatan ini dimulai pukul 09.00 pagi.
Yosi Wulandari M. Pd. memulai workshop dengan membahas metode terbaik dalam menata layout paper jurnal, terutama fokus pada pemberian tabel dan gambar. Menurut beliau, tata cara layouting yang benar dapat memberikan panduan mengenai kelengkapan paper, sehingga meningkatkan kualitas dan daya tarik bagi editor dan reviewer.
Sularso S.Sn.,M.Sn menekankan pentingnya tampilan paper yang indah. “Tampilan artikel menjadi kunci utama bagi pengelola jurnal ketika hendak menerbitkan paper. Sebuah layout yang menarik dapat meningkatkan daya tarik paper pada mata pembaca,” ujarnya. Beliau juga menyoroti bahwa perubahan atau perbaikan pada template jurnal harus disertai dengan pemberitahuan informasi kepada para penulis.
Salah satu poin penting yang dibagikan oleh Sularso S.Sn.,M.Sn adalah penggunaan crossmark di dalam papper. Menurutnya, aktivasi crossmark diperlukan untuk memberitahu bahwa meta data yang diterapkan sudah diaktifkan dalam jurnal. “Crossmark sebaiknya diletakkan disamping judul atau dibawah artikel histori pada suatu paper. Pengambilan angka DOI diambil dari digit terdepan sampai digit terakhir untuk pencantuman crossmark,” jelasnya.
Workshop ini akan memberikan pandangan mendalam tentang teknik-teknik layouting terbaru, termasuk cara menandai referensi artikel dengan benar. Peserta workshop diharapkan mendapatkan wawasan praktis dan keterampilan yang dapat diterapkan segera setelah mengikuti workshop ini.
JOURNAL LAYOUT WORKSHOP
Thursday, November 23, 2023 – Yosi Wulandari M.Pd. and Sularso S.Sn., M.Sn., two members of the MAJU BPI team, will be the speakers in a workshop aimed at improving the quality of journal papers through effective layouting techniques. The workshop will take place at Campus 2, Unit B, Ahmad Dahlan University, Meeting Room. The event will commence at 9:00 AM.
Yosi Wulandari M.Pd. will kick off the workshop by discussing the best methods for arranging the layout of journal papers, with a particular focus on the presentation of tables and images. According to her, proper layouting techniques can provide guidance on the completeness of papers, thereby enhancing the quality and appeal to editors and reviewers.
Sularso S.Sn., M.Sn. emphasizes the importance of an aesthetically pleasing paper layout. “The appearance of the article is crucial for journal managers when preparing to publish a paper. An attractive layout can enhance the appeal of the paper to readers,” he said. He also highlights that any changes or improvements to journal templates should be accompanied by notifying information to the authors.
One crucial point shared by Sularso S.Sn., M.Sn. is the utilization of a crossmark in the paper. According to him, activating the crossmark is necessary to indicate that applied metadata has been activated in the journal. “The crossmark is ideally placed next to the title or below the article history in a paper. The DOI number should be taken from the front digit to the last digit for including the crossmark,” he explains.
This workshop will provide an in-depth view of the latest layouting techniques, including how to properly mark article references. Workshop participants are expected to gain practical insights and skills that can be applied immediately after attending this workshop.
